   Toshiba launches the most thinnest tablet in town although there is a tough competition in the market with the new i pad 2  and the Google nexus 7 .Toshiba Excite 10 LE stands  out one of the best off all . it’s the thinnest of all of being 10 inch and just 7.7mm and 535 grams .Toshiba is claiming to have the world's thinnest 10-inch tablet with its Excite 10 LE. This Android 4.0-powered tablet is indeed thin and lightweight, measuring 0.3 inches thick and weighing about 1.18 pounds. In addition to its thin design, the Excite 10 LE also offers a number of ports and expansion slots. With its size, range of IO ports, and good-looking magnesium alloy surface finish the Excite 10 LE is certainly eye catching. The difference of just 66 grams   didn’t give the sense that it was much lighter than the ipad 2  but over time those 66 grams would definitely take the advantage of it .Aside from the fact that this light, soft metal feels an awful lot like plastic. The issue is that it HAS A  rough edge of the tablet's plastic siding precisely where you naturally hold the device. For a device that sells on the strength of its premium design, it's a detail that should have been taken care of.

Bean Sprout Salad(Pure Vegan)(Recipies)

Ingredients:-

2 tablespoon Sesame seeds
1 pound Fresh bean sprouts
thoroughly washed
and drained
3 md Garlic cloves
peeled and minced
2 md Scallions -- trimmed & minced
1 1" cube ginger
peeled and minced
2 tablespoon Oriental sesame oil
1/3 cup Soy sauce
2 tablespoon Cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Mirin (sweet rice wine)
2 teaspoon Light brown sugar
1 teaspoon Spicy sesame oil

Methods for cooking Bean Sprout Salad :-

Makes 4 to 6 Servings Fresh bean sprouts are a must for this recipe from
China's Hunan province.
The canned variety don't have the requisite crispness. Keep a close eye on
the toasting sesame seeds so they don't burn.
PREHEAT OVEN TO 300F. Toast the sesame seeds by spreading them over the
bottom of a pie tin. Roast for 12-to-16 minutes, stirring often, until they
are golden. The seeds can be toasted in advance and stored in an airtight
container. Place the bean sprouts in a large heatproof bowl and set it aside.
In a medium-size skillet set over moderately low heat, stir-fry the garlic,
scallions and ginger in the oil for 2 to 3 minutes, until they are limp. Add
all the remaining ingredients, increase the heat to moderate, then boil the
mixture, uncovered, for 1 minute to slightly reduce the liquid. Pour the
boiling dressing over the bean sprouts, toss well, then cover the bowl and
chill the salad for several hours. Toss again before serving.

Bean Curd with Oyster Sauce(Vegan)(Recipes)

Bean Curd with Oyster Sauce

 Ingredients:-
8 ounces bean curd
4 ounces fresh mushrooms
6 green onions
3 stalks celery
1 red or green pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
4 teaspoons dry sherry
4 teaspoons soy sauce.

Method for cooking Bean Curd with Oyster Sauce:-

1. Cut bean curd into 1/2 inch cubes. Clean mushrooms and cut into slices.
Cut onions into 1 inch pieces. Cut celery into 1/2 inch diagonal slices.
Remove seeds from pepper and cut pepper into 1/2 inch chunks.
2. Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in wok over high heat. Cook bean curd in
the oil, stirring gently, until light brown, 3 minutes. Remove from pan.
3. Heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil in wok over high heat. Add mushrooms,
onions, celery and pepper, Stir fry for 1 minute.
4. Return bean curd to wok. Toss lightly to combine. Blend water, cornstarch,
oyster sauce, sherry and soy sauce. Pour over mixture in wok. Cook and
stir until liquid boils. Cook and stir 1 minute longer.
 Enjoy Delicious "Bean Curd with Oyster Sauce"

Barbecued Spareribs (Non Vegan)(Recipies)

Ingredients:-
 
2 banks of spareribs, uncut, about 2 pounds each
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup sweet bean sauce (hoi sin deung) or hoi sin sauce
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup sherry

Method of cooking Barbecued Spareribs:-

Trim off excess fat from the thick edges of spareribs. Place ribs
in a shallow pan or platter. Mix remaining ingredients for a
marinade and spread over both sides of the spareribs. Let stand
for at least two hours.
Place one oven rack at the top of the oven and one at the bottom.
Preheat to 375F. Hook each bank of spareribs with 3 or 4 S-hooks
across its width, on the thick edges, and suspend under top rack.
Place a large pan with 1/2" water on bottom rack. This pan will
catch the drippings and keep the meat from drying out. Cook
spareribs for about 45 minutes.

Almond Cookies/Biscuits (Semi-Vegan) (Recipes)

Ingredients:-
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp almond essence
blanched almonds for decoration
beat egg for glazing
 

Method of cooking Almond Cookies/Biscuits :-

1.Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Cream the margarine
(or butter) and sugar together until light, white and fluffy. Beat in the egg
and almond essence. Stir in the sifted dry ingredients to make a stiff
dough.
2.Form the mixture into balls about 1 - 1.5 inch diameter and place these
on a greased baking tray. Place half an almond (split lengthways) on
each ball and press to flatten slightly. Brush with beaten egg.
3.Bake in a moderate oven (350 deg F / 180 deg C) for 20 minutes or
until golden. Cool on a wire rack. This quantity makes about 45
biscuits. Enjoy the Delicious Crunchy Almond Cookies

1 lb skinned chicken breast
1 cup vegtable oil
5 slices fresh ginger root
3 green onions, chopped to about 1" lengths
1 green pepper, chopped as above
1/2 cup diced bamboo shoots
1/3 slivered almonds (a little vegetable oil to fry in)
Marinade:
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp white pepper
1 tsp cornstarch
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 egg white
Seasoning sauce:
1 Tbsp rice vinegar
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp dry sherry
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp cornstarch
 

Method of Cooking Almond Chicken :-

Deep fry slivered almonds in vegtable oil for 2 to 3 minutes to crisp
them up. drain well on paper towel. Let stand for 5 minutes before using.
Dice chicken into 1 inch cubes. Combine marinade ingrediants, add
chicken and mix well. Let stand 1/2 hour. Heat oil in wok, add chicken
and stir fry until browned. Remove chicken and drain well. Stir fry
ginger, onion, pepper and bamboo shoots for about 1 minute until
vegtables are crisp-tender. Combine ingrediants for seasoning sauce in a
small bowl, mix well and add to wok. bring to boil. Add chicken to
boiling sauce. Stir fry chicken until coated with sauce.
Add almonds, mix well.

   Enter Windows Phone 8, which is pretty interesting. It looks a lot like Windows Phone 7.5 on the surface, aside from a neatly redesigned home screen. But underneath lies a sea change, as Windows Phone 8 will share the same kernel as the desktop version of Windows 8—something that, amazingly, Microsoft has never tried before, in the roughly 15 years it has spent trying to crack the PDA and mobile market.

   

    With Windows Phone 8, Microsoft is also adding support for everything the OS needed, including multi-core processors, multiple (read: higher) screen resolutions, swappable memory cards, IPv6, and NFC. At the conference, Microsoft's head of phone software, Joe Belfiore, demonstrated how NFC can be used to link two phones so their owners can play a Scrabble-like game. Tapping the phones together can engage NFC, and prompt the devices to establish a link over Wi-Fi.

   Developers previously restricted to working in Microsoft Silverlight can now write native code, as well as code in HTML5, XNA, .NET, and C#. The new OS will even use the NTFS file system and support enterprise-level security hooks similar to those for desktop and laptop PCs.

   Windows Phone devices will not be able to upgrade to Windows Phone 8. To appease those users, it's offering up another version, referred to as 7.8, that will contain the home screen customizations and other superficial enhancements, but that's it.

 

   

      Windows Phone 8 will accept expansion memory cards, like Android phones do. It will also work on processors with more than one computing "core," which are common in high-end smartphones. More cores boost computing power and can cut power consumption Windows Phone 8 will share the operating system "kernel," or most basic functions, with Windows 8 RT, which will run on tablets and computers. That means manufacturers will have an easier time making hardware that can use either system. Developers will have an easier time moving applications from one platform to the other, Microsoft

    Microsoft may be taking a big risk here with the release of this new OS, but  don’t think they have any other option. They need to bring their they realy needed a beter OS if they want to rise above their competitors, with Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS having a big lead in the smartphone market. The biggest mistake for Microsoft is the early announcement referring to the actual release. I think 18 months between the two events is going to prove to much for them in terms of revenues from Windows 7.

Microsoft Surface REVIEW

   

   This week Microsoft through press conference held in Los Angeles, United States, Microsoft officially introduced the new tablet “Surface”. announced a new entry into the tablet market with Surface promising to be different. It has two variants one with windows RT and other one with its new windows 8 PRO, Microsoft Corp is taking up the competition with Apple Inc. and its iPad by borrowing a page from Apple's playbook. It is keeping both software and hardware development under the same roof With Surface

    Microsoft is clearly straddling the uncomfortable divide between the old world of mice and keyboards, where it dominates, and a future ruled by touch screens, where Apple and Android devices prevail. Although the Surface won't go on sale until this fall, I had the chance to spend a few minutes with some devices in a group demonstration after Microsoft unveiled them in Los Angeles on Monday. 

    Microsoft faces the challenge has a challenge of  selling the Windows 8 to PC makers who want to make tablets, while at the same time selling tablets directly to consumers.

•  VaporMg: The casing of Surface is created using a unique approach called VaporMg (pronounced Vapor-Mag), a combination of material selection and process to mold metal and deposit particles that creates a finish akin to a luxury watch. Starting with magnesium, parts can be molded as thin as .65 mm, thinner than the typical credit card, to create a product that is thin, light and rigid/strong.
•  Integrated Kickstand: The unique VaporMg approach also enables a built-in kickstand that lets you transition Surface from active use to passive consumption – watching a movie or even using the HD front- or rear-facing video cameras. The kickstand is there when needed, and disappears when not in use, with no extra weight or thickness.
•  Touch Cover: The 3 mm Touch Cover represents a step forward in human-computer interface.
